We are a well established and very respected Martial Arts Academy teaching Universal Freestyle Karate and Kickboxing. The Scorpion Martial Arts Academy was founded in 1993 by  Mark J.R. Trent and over the years has grown to a membership of over two hundred junior and senior students. We hold regular coloured belt exams, seminars, interclub tournaments, blackbelt gradings as well as running two major kickboxing shows each year and attending other respected run shows, where we enjoy working with other like minded clubs and instructors. This format has produced many fine junior and senior Blackbelts and Kickboxing champions within the Scorpion Academy. Both the Karate and Kickboxing syllabuses are very self defence orientated and teach very practical and realistic techniques. Mark has spent many years working the ‘doors’ and has gained alot of experience dealing with violent and threatening situations. All Universal Karate and Kickboxing grades are fully recognised by the British Tae-Kwon-Do Association, World Allstyles and Kickboxing Organisations and the Universal Freestyle Karate Kickboxing Association. We are proud to have all of our grades fully recognised and respected by the best of the best.
