Universal Freestyle Karate Kickboxing Association

The Universal Freestyle Karate Kickboxing Association was set up in 2004 to run alongside the Scorpion Martial Arts Academy. The main job of the U.F.K.K.A. is to help with the running of our own very successful kickboxing Fight Night shows. The U.F.K.K.A. is fully recognised by W.A.K.O. ( World Allstyles and Kickboxing Organisations ) whose President is the hugely respected Tom Hibbert M.B.E. and the B.T.A. ( British Tae-Kwon-Do Association ) whose President is Grand Master Roy Kilner. Mark Trent has been a member of W.A.K.O. for nearly twenty five years and the B.T.A. for over twelve years and is very proud and honoured to be a long standing member of such prestigious organisations. The U.F.K.K.A.’s role within the kickboxing shows that we promote is to allow us to sanction Club/Association title belts only to fighters that have earnt the right to compete for a title belt by having fought for the required number of times and have proven themselves within the combat ring, that way fighters should earn an Area belt before a English/National/Five Nations/British, then a European and then a World title belt that way it keeps the sport of kickboxing safe, fair and honest. Since we started running our own kickboxing shows over five years ago we have had fighters compete for Area and British title belts and the standard of these fighters has been superb and they are all a credit to their respective clubs, coaches and to the sport of kickboxing. The U.F.K.K.A. works with many kickboxing clubs to help promote the sport and is always pleased to hear from other like minded clubs, fighters and coaches.
