Belt Order

Order of belts and required times

9th white belt gup/grade - juniors only, awarded in class time after two months
8th yellow belt gup/grade - four months
7th orange gup/grade - eight months
6th green gup/grade - twelve months ( one year )
5th purple gup/grade - sixteen months
4th blue gup/grade - twenty months
3rd red gup/grade - twenty four months ( two years )
2nd brown gup/grade - twenty eight months
1st brown/black stripe gup/grade - thirty two months
1st black tab assessment gup/grade - thirty six months ( three years ) 
Shodan-ho gup/grade - juniors only under the age of ten years old
1st degree blackbelt - candidates will only be put forward to take their blackbelt when they are completely ready. 
It will take a minimum of three years to achieve the prestigious level of blackbelt. Juniors may take longer depending upon their age and technical ability. You will only be put forward to take your Blackbelt when Grand Master Trent and the U.F.K.K.A. examining panel and Vice Presidents decide that you have reached the required technical, mental and spiritual level. The Blackbelt exam lasts for a minimum of four hours where you will be tested upon the entire syllabus for your relevant style. Cadet Blackbelts ( under 16 ) must re-take their Blackbelts upon reaching the age of sixteen years old. 
We are proud to have all of our grades recognised by the World Allstyles and Kickboxing organisations    ( W.A.K.O. )  the British Tae-Kwon-Do Association ( B.T.A. ) and the Universal Freestyle Karate Kickboxing Association ( U.F.K.K.A.)
The Scorpion syllabus is based upon attending at least two lessons each week as well as any extra sessions organised plus seminars with visiting Instructors, Masters and Grand Masters.
